Alexander Wang and Bulgari unveil new handbag collection

Alexander Wang has joined forces with Bulgari on a limited-edition collection of luxury handbags.

The US fashion designer has teamed up with the Italian luxury house to put his own spin on the Bulgari ‘Serpenti Forever Bag.' The move is part of its ongoing "Serpenti Through the Eyes Of " collaborative initiative.

Wang has come up with a series of six different leather bags, ranging in size from belt-bag to tote. Each of the designs features a contemporary reimagining of the Serpenti line's snake-themed gold hardware that nods to Bulgari's heritage, and the capsule is available in mint green, snakeskin, black, or white colorways.

A video starring Wang dusting his new creations in a jewelry boutique explains that the bags have been designed "For those who have everything... but want a little more." A message posted to the Alexander Wang Instagram account explains: "We took the iconic Serpenti design and gave it the Wang spin it's always wanted."

According to Vogue, supermodel Hailey Baldwin has been tagged to front the campaign for the new collection  rolling out on September 7.
