Adidas' preliminary results exceed expectations

Preliminary results for Adidas' 2010 first half reveal to surpass forecasts. The German sportswear manufacturer saw its net sales increase by 11% to 5.6 billion Euros January-June. At constant exchange rates, a 7% increase was calculated. In the second quarter of 2010, the group's (Adidas, Reebok, TaylorMade ...) sales jumped up 19% and at constant exchange rate, they were up 11%.

During the period, Adidas has generated a net profit of 295 million Euros, compared to 13 million Euros in 2009.
