Adidas group CEO Kasper Rørsted has been active on the human resources front. Rorsted took charge of the German sport group two years ago, and he doesn’t hold back when it comes to poaching key personnel from other leading sport industry players.

This summer, Adidas hired French senior executive Jérémy de Maillard, who actually began his career at the German group, between 2005 and 2008, and then spent the following 10 years at VF Corporation. First as vice president of marketing EMEA for Vans and Reef, and from mid-2014 as vice president of marketing & e-commerce EMEA for The North Face.

In July, de Maillard, 40, left his workplace in the Swiss Alps to move to Adidas’s world headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. He has taken charge of the Statement Business Unit, developing the Adidas Originals collaborations with artists, brands, concept stores and designers like Alexander Wang or Raf Simons, as well as taking care of the German group’s relationship with the most directional multi-brand retailers through the Consortium initiative.
