Adidas: France joins the South-Eastern Europe structure

The Adidas group is made up of large geographic zones to best optimise its organisation, especially for the establishment of its financial reports. Every large region in the world is divided into a sub-region. Thus, in Europe, the kit supplier was until now made up of five zones (the North, the Iberian Peninsula, Central Europe, France and South-Eastern Europe).

France, which worked independently before, joined the South-Eastern Europe zone, made up of Spain and Portugal until then, a few weeks ago. The structure is managed by Nigel Griffiths, who quit Nike in 2007 to join the German group. The SE Europe zone now also includes Italy and Greece.

The kit supplier has specified that this modification in its internal functioning does not change anything in its operational organisation in each market. "Guillaume de Monplanet remains the representative and spokesperson for Adidas for the French market," the French subsidiary said.

Guillaume de Monplanet took over for Alain Pourcelot in November as the head of the French subsidiary. Alain Pourcelot now manages the "Direct to consumer" teams on the European level.
