Ace & Tate in expansion mode as it opens two London stores

Amsterdam-based eyewear company Ace & Tate is growing fast in the UK, where it now boasts a total of five stores after two recent openings in London.

The new Ace & Tate stores opened in Soho and East London at the end of October, following the brand’s arrival in Manchester and Bristol earlier this year. Its first store opened in London’s Seven Dials in 2017.

Continuing the brand’s penchant for the unique, the new stores were designed alongside leading local artists and creatives, and their interior design is exclusive to their location. Ace & Tate worked with creative agency Anyways for the Soho shop, which is located at 15 Brewer Street. A set of bright neon eyes that shut when the store closes hints at the area’s reputation for voyeurism, while marble tiles, inspired by the tiles that paved the nearby Carnaby Street in the '70s, decorate the space.

Meanwhile, artist William Luz collaborated with the brand on the East London location. Located on Hanbury Street, the store features a mural that draws inspiration from Brick Lane’s buzzing, multicultural atmosphere.

Ace & Tate has grown fast since its creation five years ago. The footwear business has now over 30 stores in eight European countries, including the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Belgium and Ireland.

It said the new locations in London were chosen for their creative surroundings, close to independent fashion boutiques,record labels and advertising and design agencies.
