AZ Factory recruits Colville duo for a collaboration

After having called upon the young French designer Tennessy Thoreson, who recently unveiled his designs during Couture Week, AZ Factory has set its sights on Molly Molloy and Lucinda Chambers, the creative duo of the Colville label, for a new collaboration that will be unveiled during a show on March 6 at Paris Fashion Week.

Molly Molloy and Lucinda Chambers - Colville

Considered an anti-fast-fashion brand since it launched in 2018, Colville has built a reputation with its colours and textures and timeless wardrobe mixing streetwear and couture. The brand was co-founded by Lucinda Chambers, who has been active in fashion for forty years. A former art director for British Vogue, she has worked for Marni, among others, as has her partner Molly Molloy, who also works for the label La DoubleJ.

"We are delighted to invite Molly and Lucinda to write a new story with us at AZ Factory. They share a sharp vision that has always valued women of diverse beauty and free-spirited individuals," comments AZ Factory in a release.

"Working with AZ Factory has been a joyful and collaborative adventure. We all have one goal, to create a beautiful collection, which tells a story in the best way possible to give joy, energy and inspiration," says Chambers. "Lucinda and I love to collaborate, we are always in receptive mode! Our journey with AZ Factory and the team has been inspiring, a meeting of creative minds with the common goal of making women feel beautiful."

Since 2022, the Parisian fashion house, founded in late 2020 by Alber Elbaz with the Swiss luxury group Richemont shortly before the death of the famous Israeli-American designer, has been calling on "Amigos" to create its collections in collaboration with its studio. This is an opportunity to invite designers to interpret the spirit of the brand, such as Thebe Magugu, Ester Manas or more recently Lutz Huelle, or to highlight emerging talents. This was the case in July with Cyril Bourez and in January with Tennessy Thoreson.
