The women's fashion brand & Other Stories, which belongs to the Swedish group H&M, has announced a new addition to its management team, Johan Svensson, as head of identity and creation. Since October 2022, he is in charge of animating the storytelling of the brand created in 2013, and shaping "its vision for the future," says the company in a statement.

& Other Stories, which has three creative studios based in Stockholm, Paris and Los Angeles, recruited Svensson, who has built his career working at several international fashion magazines. After starting out at Harper's Bazaar in the 1990s, his career has included stints as creative director and art director for media outlets such as Vogue Paris from 2007 to 2011, which at the time was led by Carine Roitfeld, as well as W Magazine from 2012 to 2016, and Vogue UK from 2017 to 2020. For the past two years, Svensson was the creative director of Patriksson Communication agency.

"We are very proud and excited to welcome Johan as the brand identity and creative director for & Other Stories. His talent and extensive international industry experience will be an essential part of our progression," says Karin Vesterlund, brand and marketing director at & Other Stories.

The brand has a higher price point than H&M and has 76 stores in 25 different markets. Its e-shop is available in 33 countries. In France, & Other Stories operates three stores, all located in Paris.
