Dutch football legend Cruyff opens Manchester fashion store
Premium casual apparel and footwear brand Cruyff has opened a fashion store in Manchester.
The brand's founder, Holland, Barcelona and Ajax football legend Johan Cruyff, debuted the boutique-style store in the Manchester Arndale centre and it becomes the first UK opening for the brand that also operates a flagship in Barcelona and stores in Amsterdam.
The latest store offers a variety of premium men’s and women’s shoes and sneakers alongside matching tracksuit sets, puffer jackets, graphic tees and classic track tops. Alongside the core brand, it also offers a ‘guest brand concept’, currently featuring menswear from Off The Pitch, the Rotterdam-based brand.
Cruyff said the store has been designed along “clean lines and sharp silhouettes” with a core colourway of bold pops of neon orange alongside dark metal and black.
“[Manchester] is an iconic music and creative hub and being one of the biggest football capitals in the world is a perfect fit", said Ferenc van der Vlies, co-owner of Cruyff.
The Cruyff brand was first introduced in 1979 in collaboration with designer Emilio Lazzarinni "founding the concept of football Luxury replicated by brands all over the world".
