& Other Stories collab with House of Hackney hits stores

Published

& Other Stories has released a special collection of summer essentials designed in partnership with interiors and lifestyle brand House of Hackney.

& Other Stories

The collection is characterised by House of Hackney’s signature eclectic aesthetic, with reinterpreted Victorian prints and psychedelic floral patterns emblazoned on dresses, tops, trousers, scarves and accessories.

The collection is a good reflection of House of Hackney’s style, the maximalist paradise founded by husband and wife team Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley in 2011. The luxury company has previously collaborated with Asos, Puma, Opening Ceremony and Eastpak.

Its co-founders said of the collection: “The spirit captures a heightened version of the colours and forms found in nature. This collection encourages women to continue to walk to the beat of their own drum. We want those who wear our pieces to feel wonderful, strong and feminine.”

Partly influenced by the pieces that artists of the Bloomsbury Group, such as Virginia Woolf, wore when going on country retreats or meeting up with fellow artist friends, the collaboration has a strong bohemian mood.

The range is primarily made in sustainable materials such as Tencel, a fibre manufactured from natural wood pulp cellulose, and organic cotton.

Fans of the collaboration can find the summer edit in stores and online from Thursday 24 May, with prices ranging from £39 to £145.
