Hackett London to unveil ‘flagship store of the North’ in Leeds
Dec 9, 2015
The quintessentially British menswear brand Hackett London is set to open a 303 m² store split across two floors at the £165 million Victoria Gate development next year.
The ‘flagship store of the North’ will look to recreate the sense of theatre in its store with a carefully crafted interior that brings a sense of all that it means to be British. In addition to carrying the brand’s ready-to-wear collection, the store will include a bespoke tailoring service.
Hackett joins Anthropologie, Cos, & Other stories, The White Company and Maje at Victoria Gate. The scheme is expected to open its doors next year, transforming the retail scene of Leeds and taking a number of aspirational labels to the region for the first time.
Robin Dobson, Director Retail Development at Hammerson, said: “Securing Hackett, the renowned luxury British retailer, and giving it its debut in Leeds, is testament to the unique retail environment we are creating at Victoria Gate. By providing a best in class trading platform for premium, aspirational retailers, we are enabling them to get a foothold in a city that is fast becoming a world class retail, dining and leisure destination.”
