Off-White Fashion Show - Menswear Spring/Summer 2018 Collection presented at the Pitti Uomo in Florence

Place: Florence in Italy, at the Pitti Uomo.Designer: Virgil AblohInspiration: The American designer showcased texts recalling the horrors of exile, as well as the traumas experienced by refugees, all the while taking inspiration from his father, who had emigrated from Ghana to the United States. Also worth noting, the soundtrack interpreted by the choristers of the Florence Opera.Collection: A collection that focuses on streetwear, using light materials and techniques, oversized shapes, in the frame of a style of tailoring reinterpreted for the ‘millennial’ generation. The trousers are ample and high-waist, whereas the shorts, with elastic waistbands, are particularly cropped. The tops are unzipped and open, leaving the chest visible. The parkas and jackets are undone, providing more functionality, while neutral knitted mesh is worn in the form of vest tops, or skin-tight sweatshirts. To note: Each outfit adopts a laid-back attitude. Flower prints add a touch of softness to this contemporary collection.Focus on: High-top trainers, or with cut-out detail on the foot. Fluorescent laces and orange patches, alongside XXL shoulder bags enveloping the silhouette.Music of the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information)
