MSGM - Women's Autumn-Winter 2017/18 collection in Milan (with interview)

Designer : Massimo Giorgetti Inspiration : the famous television series Twin Peaks by director David LynchCollection : A feminine, urban, young, energetic, silhouette, swinging between romanticism and sportswear.Focus : on the XXL floral prints, black and white graphics and the many logos which mark the silhouette.A femininity expressed through the cocktails skirts with ruffles, the satin dresses with forest prints and pleated lace skirtsTo note : the fringed knitwear, the coloured fur, the eagle embroidery on the back of the bomber jackets.Interview with Massimo Giorgetti: I was always obsessed with the Twin Peaks girls, in this case from Audrey& Donna,and this year is also the year of the comeback of Twin Peaks after 25 years.I was obsessed from when I was a teenager, the music ‘Just You’, by James Marshall and Angelo Badalamenti , it’s a romantic, ‘noir’, world, but at the end fun colorful, full of prints, the beginning is ‘noir’ and dramatic and at the end it’s happy and very MSGM.This season I’m really into colours, this season it’s really my world, colours, prints, roses, flowers, optical graphics, damier prints, and this season it’s a little bit of a different story but very iconic and very MSGM.It always Sport, it’s my rule and it’s my obsession, and there is another outfit that I really like, the sweatshirt with six years of different logos, I think this sweatshirt is really my story, when I saw it two weeks ago I realized, oh my god, that’s really me, and it’s nice because it’s paired with a red tulle skirt, you can go to a party or a club, you can go everywhere.
