Rue du Mail (by Martine Sitbon) - Fall Winter Collection 2013/14 in Paris

As always Martine Sitbon stands as the leader, with her innovative ideas on a confirmed style. The shapes of coats and little jackets are ample like kimonos and are balanced gracefully along with the movements. The iris pattern punctuates the collection in all possible interpretations. The designer particularly likes trompe l'oil effects. For this new collection, she proposes black and white optical effects on large chevrons. She successfully dares embroideries of rustic Irish wool on feminine dresses in satin. Not to mention the laced ankle boots, with some made like stilettos worn with socks. A certain elegance, worthy of a Hitchcock heroine, emerges from this collection.
