Cailey Fiesel said she bought the dress for $40 from a Zara store in Connecticut in July only to discover afterwards the animal’s paw sticking out of the seam.

She also said she noticed a “disturbingly pungent odor” coming from the dress, which she was “unable to escape”.

Fiesel, who is a talent manager, is suing the Spanish retailer for emotional and physical distress as she developed rash diagnosed as “rodent-born”.

According to media reports, the dress was made in Turkey.

Zara USA has confirmed the suit and said it’s investigating the matter further. The company noted that it has “stringent health and safety standards”.
