Vivienne Westwood announced plans to streamline her business in order to put her husband Andreas Kronthaler at the forefront. Working with the British brand for over 25 years, Kronthaler name will be associated with the brand for the first time this spring.

The fashion brand's high-end label which usually is presented with the womenswear in Paris, will be presented this Saturday, March 5, at Fashion Week under the name of Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood and no longer, Vivienne Westwood Gold Label.

"I have designed with Vivienne for more than 25 years. To add my name is to emphasize and clarify the differences between our lines. It is not a big change to the way we work but it will bring a new direction and I am happy and excited for the future," explains Andreas Kronthaler in a news statement.

On her side, Vivienne Westwood highlights how "over the years Andreas has taken on ever more responsibility and I wish this fact to be reflected in public perception."

They will therefore concentrate on the Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood collection and Vivienne Westwood collection which will merge their Red Label line, while Anglomania and accessories collection will continue as an independent line.
