Victoria's Secret opts for natural beauty look

The outfits may have been eye-wateringly daring, but last night's Victoria's Secret beauty look was all sweetness and light.

By the time many of the world's top models took to the catwalk in Paris for the lingerie brand's annual fashion show, they had been buffed, polished and moisturized to perfection. But one thing remained strikingly natural -- the hair.

Victoria's Secret is famous for its love of tumbling bombshell waves, created using the 'Beachwaver' curling iron and its designer, hairstylist Sarah Potempa. And this year the tradition was upheld, with models such as Lily Aldridge, Gigi Hadid and Jasmine Tookes sporting flowing, tousled waves. But several other models showed off their natural locks, with Maria Borges, Jourdana Phillips and Herieth Paul walking the runway with their short cropped styles (Phillips' hair was even bleached for extra impact). Alanna Arrington's corkscrew curls were given free rein and Janiece Dilone wowed with her trademark pixie cut blown into a sleek style.

When it came to the cosmetics, lead makeup artist Tom Pecheux opted for a subtle but polished look, with soft smoky eyes created using brown and taupe shadows. Max Factor's False Lash Effect Epic Mascara gave definition to the eyes, while bronzed complexions were warmed up with a dab of pink blush. Lips were covered in a nude shimmer using Victoria's Secret Velvet Matte Cream Lip Stains, although some models, like Bella Hadid, opted for a girlier pink hue.

The manicures also adhered to the subtle and elegant aesthetic, with the Angels sporting high gloss gel polishes by Red Carpet Manicure in the nude and dusky pink tones of 'Camera Shy', 'Candid Moment' and 'Simply Adorable'.

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS on December 5.
