The brand is to open a 2,140 sq ft store in the upper mall of the centre in the spring, joining a host of fashion retailers including Levi’s and Dune.

The store will feature Vans’ famous Old Skool style as well as newer designs. Founded in 1966 in Southern California, the brand is known for its skate shoes and its commitment to supporting athletes, musicians and artists.

The signing was announced by Hammerson and Standard Lifes Investments, the joint owners of Brent Cross.

Iain Mitchell, Hammerson Commercial Director for the UK,  commented: “Vans is a fantastic new brand to welcome into Brent Cross and will sit well alongside the centre’s strong retail line-up. With its loyal shopper base and consistently high levels of footfall, Brent Cross continues to be a firm favourite for occupiers looking to expand their physical presence in a prime location.”

Vans has six further stores in London, as well as a cultural hub and international music venue called House of Vans located in the arches underneath Waterloo station.
