Vans launches capsule collection with Rains

This spring, following the release of a premium Vault by Vans collection dedicated to SpongeBob SquarePants, VF Group-owned US brand Vans has teamed up with Danish outerwear label Rains, launched in 2012 with a range of rain jackets and waterproof accessories.

Through the collaboration, the brands hope to bring together "Vans' timeless aesthetic with Rains' meticulous attention to detail". 

Vans has therefore integrated its UltraCush Lite technology into three of its classic sneaker models – the Old Skool, the Sk8-Hi and the Slip-on – and is releasing three other styles – the Old Skool Lite, the Slip-on Lite and the Sk8-Hi Reissue Lite – in white, green and black leather, inspired by Copenhagen's old industrial port, Refshaleøen.

The shoe uppers are made from leather and Rains' jacket fabric, and the models also feature reflective details, personalized laces and an exclusive insole illustrated with an aerial view of Refshaleøen.

The collection will be available in Vans stores and online from March 16.
