Steve Rendle is the new President & Chief Operating Officer of VF Corp. Prior to being appointed to his current role in June 2015, he was Senior Vice President, Americas, a transitory stage during which he took on an increasing amount of responsibility.

Steve Rendle, the new big boss at VF Corp - VF Corp

The 55-year old executive joined the group through the acquisition of The North Face. First he managed the outdoors brand in 2004, before being in charge of all of the brands in this segment as of 2009. He then took on several roles, moving from the Timberland management team to the action sports and outdoor division in 2011.

He is presently in charge of strategy for all of VF Corp's categories with its brands The North Face, Vans, Timberland, Nautica, Lee, Wrangler, 7 for All Mankind, Majestic, Kipling... He also supervises the platforms managing the supply chain and direct-to-consumer sales.

He currently reports to the President of the Board and group CEO Eric Wiseman, who he will join on the Board. A rising figure in the group, some analysts see him as the future leader of the American apparel giant.
