Uniqlo opened the doors to its global flagship store on Oxford Street on Friday 18 March, revealing a space that was expanded from three floors to five to house a conceptual sales area, a rooftop terrace and a cultural hub.

To celebrate the relaunch, the brand released the Uniqlo and Lemaire collection exclusively to its 311 Oxford Street store, and held a competition called ‘Unlock London’ that allowed customers to visit the store’s rooftop, where there was an installation housing 40 London-themed prizes.

Additionally, a number of events will be rolled out over the following weeks, including free barber services, talks by the School of Mindfulness and Olympic gold-winner Victoria Pendleton and exclusive yoga classes.

The opening was supported by Uniqlo’s latest campaign, called This Way to Utopia. Conceived and produced by Faster Horses, the creative partnership includes six cultural ambassadors: fashion designer Hana Tajima, rapper, songwriter and producer Skepta, transgender model Munroe Bergdorf, DJ and record producer Benji B, filmmaker Sean Frank, and photographer Cate Underwood.
