Five time NEWGEN award winner Dominic Jones has been appointed as the new creative director of British jewellery brand Astley Clarke.

Astley Clarke

Jones, is known for his innovative, avant-garde designs. He was awarded ʻJewellery Designer of the Yearʼ at the 2011 Elle Style Awards and was nominated for the 2012 British Fashion Awards in the ‘Emerging Accessories Designer’ category.

He founded his eponymous jewellery label in 2009, presenting a collection that won the acclaim of influential fashion editor Anna Wintour. His success inspired the launch of the BFC’ Rock Vault jewellery initiative, which continues to this day.

Astley Clarke said his appointment signifies a shift in direction, as the brand moves towards a more modern and progressive approach to fine jewellery. With Jones at the helm, Astley Clarke will go after a new set of consumers, “who may have previously felt excluded” from the fine jewellery segment.

Founded in 2007 in London, the brand’s designs can be found at Selfridges, Liberty, Saks, Neiman Marcus, De Bijenkorf, Tangs and David Jones, as well as at specialist fine jewellers around the world.

The label has a standalone boutique in Central London.
