Italian heritage shoe brand Sutor Mantellassi has collaborated with Scott Schuman, founder of street style blog The Sartorialist, on a brand new sneaker collection. Comprising three footwear styles, the range is available exclusively at German retailer Braun Hamburg.

The shoes are made in white and feature contrasting velour stripes, combining the fine grain texture with the richness and softness of velour.

“I wanted to make an updated and modern sneaker that looked very clean and chic but that also had interesting color combinations. For me, I’m always looking for interesting color combinations when I photograph, so I wanted to bring that same interest into designing this collaboration,” says Scott Schuman about the collection.

The photographer created The Sartorialist in 2005 after deciding to leave his permanent position as director of men’s fashion at a showroom to take care of his daughter. He began photographing and documenting the original fashion style of New Yorkers and posting the images on his blog, becoming quickly a regular read for fashionistas around the world.

Braun Hamburg is a retailer specialising in luxury men’s clothing and accessories, stocking a selection of more than 150 international luxury brands from Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Brunello Cucinelli, Caruso, Dries van Noten, Ermenegildo Zegna, Etro, Moncler, Santoni, Valentino and Tom Ford.
