Texfusion, the first UK-based textile trade show, saw record numbers attend its October 2016 edition, two new halls, some 100 exhibitors and 2000 visitors coming through the doors over two days.

Show organisers said that exhibitors reviews were "really positive", recording a rebooking rate close to 100% for the March 2017 edition.

“The results were above our expectations” said John Kelley, show organiser.
“We had around 100 exhibitors this October with 2 new halls dedicated to home and functional fabrics."

Texfusion has doubled its numbers at each edition and this October, together with the Print Studios there were around 150 exhibitors. Buyers had the chance to source from a wider offer, said the trade show.

"I can see Texfusion becoming as big as The London Textile Fair in a couple of years”, Kelley added.

Fashion and Accessories fabrics were the most represented textile type. However, within the technical hall there was a wide selection of Activewear, Sportswear, Technical Fabrics, Sportive Knits, Technical Fashion, Thermal Insulation and conductive fabrics.

Meanwhile, home hall visitors had the opportunity to source from Bed Linen, Curtain, Towel fabrics, Tapestry, Wall Hangings and Upholstery.

Some 90% of the buyers were British. Foreigner attendees came from Germany, France, Italy, Northern Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

The next edition will be held at the Business Design Centre on the 28th and 29th March 2017.
