TK Maxx is opening a new site in Bristol this month in what is anticipated to be one of the largest openings for the discount store in Europe this year.

The value retailer has taken a 34,500 sq ft unit on Broadmead in Bristol’s Shopping Quarter, the city where it opened its first ever UK store in 1994.

The new site will offer a full range of products including womenswear, menswear, kids’ clothes and toys, homeware, gifts and beauty from leading brands at up to 60% less than the RRP.

The decision to open a new store in Bristol comes as the city emerges as one of the most resilient retail locations in the UK according to new research from Cushman & Wakefield in their Retail Resilience Index report.

Bristol Quarter is helping to boost sales and footfall with 500 shops, restaurants, cafés and attractions over four districts; Broadmead, Cabot Circus, The Arcade and The Galleries.

Tag Heuer and Joules are also opening in the area in the autumn, and Holland and Barrett recently upsized its store in Cabot Circus.
