TK Maxx to open Berlin store in 2017

Come the end of 2017, TK Maxx will be opening a Berlin location in the Gesundbrunnen Center shopping mall in Berlin-Wedding, in a retail space of approximately 2,000 square meters. The exact opening date has not yet been announced but is planned for autumn 2017.

The Berlin location is the fourth store the retailer plans to open in Germany in 2017, in addition to locations in Schwerin, Duisburg and Würzburg.

TK Maxx has been active in Germany since October 2007, and is part of TJX Europe, an independent division of the world's largest discount apparel company TJX Companies Inc. of the United States. The first TK Maxx store opened in the UK in 1994. 

The company operates stores in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands under the TK Maxx name. The retailer currently boasts 108 stores in Germany.  TJX Europe has more than 500 stores across Europe, including several HomeSense stores in the UK.
