Supreme reportedly eyeing Brooklyn retail location

Is Supreme eyeing a new retail location in Brooklyn? All signs point to yes if one is to believe the rumor mill, but so far the streetwear brand has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor.

An Instagram user named @supreme__hustle, who shares daily news about Supreme, said that the brand plans to open its second New York City retail location in Williamsburg, and a real estate source added to this rumor, saying that Supreme had shown interest in a 3,000-square-foot retail space on Grand Street.

In addition, Jefferson Pang of DC Shoes is reported to be the Brooklyn store’s manager.

If the rumors are true then Supreme picked an opportune time to open in Williamsburg. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s L train line will have suspended service for a year-and-a -half, beginning in January 2019. Opening in Williamsburg could appease Brooklynites that commute on the L train and others that live in the bustling New York City borough.

The reported news comes just days after London-based skate brand Palace opened its first-ever US store in New York City. The brand announced the new store opening with a commercial featuring actors Jonah Hill and Leo Fitzpatrick.

Supreme currently operates freestanding stores in New York City, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Japan. The brand is also available at Dover Street Market.
