Studio White Label opens Carnaby pop-up shop

Studio White Label, the UK-based fashion brand inspired by the way musicians release white label records to test the reaction to experimental music, opened a pop-up shop on Marshall Street in London's Carnaby Street area on Wednesday.

Studio White Label is a clothing line, as well as a series of collaborative projects, exhibitions and music releases. The brand was founded as a reaction against name labels and the obsession with celebrity designers, and has a reverence for the manufacturing and design process.

Its new store marks the beginning of a number of collaborations that the brand will do this year. The shop will sell both exclusive Studio White Label designs, and objects and accessories from therudai.com. Underlining the brand's close ties to the music world, there will be live mixes and DJs playing all vinyl sets throughout the residency, which starts today (January 21st) and ends on February 9.
