Spain’s UNOde50 names new CEO

Spanish jewellery company UNOde50 has announced the appointment of Javier Arrevola as its new CEO. The executive joined the label on February 22, marking the appointment as an important step for the brand, which is turning 20 this year and currently in the process of an international expansion.

Javier Arrevola is taking over the reins of the store rollout plan, which has recently seen strategic openings in London, Toronto and Rome. The brand is now readying the launch of its fourth store in Barcelona and the first outpost in Chile. Additionally, the company’s foothold in the US, Mexico, Russia and Italy is set to be strengthened this year.

Arrevola is a business graduate of Madrid’s Universidad Completense with a master’s degree in business administration. He joined Loewe in 2000, where he held several key positions including director for Spain and Portugal. Afterwards he worked as managing director for the jewelry brand Suarez, where he was responsible for the definition of a revamp program.

Most recently, Arrevola was global head of luxury & fashion of World Duty Free Group. He is simultaneously a director of the master in fashion companies at the Istituto Europeo di Design.
