Skechers named Footwear Brand of the Year for the third year in a row

Skechers has been named Brand of the Year for the third year in a row at the 2017 Footwear Industry Awards. The annual awards were held on Sunday, February 19 during the Moda Footwear Show.

 
The Manhattan Beach, CA-based company enters its 25th year in business as Brand of the Year, after setting a new annual sales record of $3.56 billion. Skechers was also highly commended in the Ladies Footwear Brand and Comfort/Wellness Brand of the Year categories at the Footwear Industry Awards, which were won by Rieker and DB Shoes, respectively.
 
Additional winners at the 2017 Footwear Industry Awards include Anatomic, which won the Men’s Footwear Brand of the Year award; Jakes, the winner of the Fashion Independent Footwear Retailer of the Year; and Jenevieve Froncek, who won Footwear Designer of the Year.

Rieker was also the highly commended Footwear Brand of the Year and Men’s Footwear Brand of the Year, and Kevin Sumner of Rieker won the Platinum Shoe Award. The Swiss footwear company won Footwear Brand of the Year three years in a row prior to Skechers.

Members of the footwear industry nominate brands and retailers that they believe deserve recognition at the Footwear Industry Awards. Only one vote is allowed per category, per person.
