New York City-based fashion label Sies Marjan debuted its first-ever footwear line at its fall 2017 runway show on Sunday. In just its third season, the women’s fashion brand introduced elevated penny loafer styles in croc-embossed leather, suede, and patent leather, and in plain front and peep-toe silhouettes.

The plain front silhouette features chunky soles in various colors such as a matching dusty pink, or a brown sole. The peep-toe style has a similar construction and similar sole colors, with the exception of two green styles that have matching soles.

Launched in February 2016, Sies Marjan garnered immediate attention and acclaim for its bright, floral inaugural collection. Sander Lak, the Creative Director of Sies Marjan, founded the label after studying at ArtEZ in Arnhem, the Netherlands, and Central Saint Martins in London, and after stints at Marc Jacobs, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Balmain under Christophe Decarnin. Lak also worked at Dries Van Noten as head designer. Sies Marjan is named after Lak's father and mother’s given names, respectively.

Today, the fashion label is carried at Barneys, Ssense, Matches Fashion, Mytheresa.com, and Selfridges among others.

The new Sies Marjan footwear collection is expected to launch with the fall 2017 collection.
