Second edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo to take place in May

On May 11-12 2015, the Bangladesh Denim Expo will once again be held in Dhaka. The expo takes place at the Radisson Blu Water Hotel and features denim mills, laundries and finishers.

More than 2,500 people visited the previous Expo in November, including representatives from Primark and H&M. The upcoming Expo will feature exhibitors including Absolute Denim from Thailand, Raymond Uco from India, A&E from the USA, and Garmon from Italy, plus Bangladesh mills including Partex, and manufacturer-laundries such as Denim Expert.

The Expo will also have a Trend Zone and host a trend seminar from WGSN.

Mr Mostafiz Uddin, founder of the Bangladesh Denim Expo, said: "The Bangladesh Denim Expo is a hub for the denim industry in the region. Bangladesh is the second largest supplier of denim goods to Europe, and the third largest to the USA. This is our speciality, and the Expo showcases our passion for denim. By pulling together at this professional event, we can lift up standards in Bangladesh and upgrade the international perception of our apparel industry."
