Independent fashion chain Robert Goddard is the latest to open at the new Rushden Lakes shopping destination in Northamptonshire.

Founded in 1895 by George Goddard, grandfather of Robert, the company is an independent clothing business with seven stores across the UK. The Rushden Lakes site becomes the brand’s eighth in the country and is the first time the company trades on a retail park.

The 2,292 sq ft space offers a host of big name brands, including Hugo Boss, Lyle & Scott, Replay, Armani Jeans, Ted Baker and Loake across menswear, womenswear, formal wear and formal hire.

Mike Bell, senior asset manager at The Crown Estate, said: “We are delighted to welcome Robert Goddard, and their beautiful new store design, to Rushden Lakes. Robert Goddard have created a luxurious new home that will appeal to their legions of dedicated shoppers in the region.”

Robert Goddard joins more than 40 retailers at the shopping destination, including House of Fraser, M&S, Hobbs, Jigsaw, Moss Bros, H&M, Primark and White Stuff. Rushden Lakes opened to the public in July.
