The upsized store will spread over 20,000 sq ft and feature an interior designed by the retailer’s in-house team to display the full range of trendy and affordable menswear, womenswear and children’s fashion ranges.

“River Island is one of the UK’s most loved high street brands and we are looking forward to offering our customer base even more affordable and well-designed fashion in our larger store. Centre:MK is a longstanding, top-performing location for River Island and increasing our presence here is a key step in our ongoing growth,” commented Josie Cartridge, customer director at River Island.

The Milton Keynes shopping centre is also set to welcome this month designer eyewear specialists Acuitis, which will be opening a 2,152 sq ft store at 30 Silbury Arcade. This will be the first Acuitis store outside of London and stock the brand’s eyewear collections for men, women, teens and children.

Hermes Investment Management and AustralianSuper are investing £60 million in Centre:MK, with plans including the recently completed award-winning Sunset Walk refurbishment, as well as the revamp of Deer Walk, which launched earlier this month.

Additionally, a number of fashion and lifestyle brands have opened or upsized stores at the mall, including JD Sports, Footasylum, Molton Brown and Kiko.
