"Catwalk" will see six galleries at the Rijksmuseum filled with the finest in Dutch fashion from 1625 to 1960, with exhibits including pieces from the Golden Age

Must-see garments include a pair of silk underpants belonging to Henri Casimir I, Count of Nassau Dietz; the widest dress in the Netherlands, dating from the 18th century; a silk bobbin lace gown; and a taffeta cocktail dress by Cristóbal Balenciaga.

The Rijksmuseum has a collection of 10,000 fashion items, featuring men's, women's and children's garments, as well as accessories, dating from 1700 to 1960. It includes treasures such as a post-war dress made from silk maps belonging to RAF pilots and a Yves Saint Laurent "Mondrian dress."

"Catwalk" runs February 20 to May 16, 2016, at the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
