Queensgate boosts fashion line-up with new openings and upsizes

A trio of fashion brands are opening and upsizing stores at Peterborough’s Queensgate shopping centre, announced manager Lendlease and owner Invesco Real Estate on Tuesday.

Pandora has opened an additional store at the mall, retaining its existing unit for its Argento brand

Pandora is expanding its presence at the shopping destination with an additional 2,700 sq ft store opposite Boots in East Square. The affordable jewellery brand will retain its existing store for its Argento brand.

The shopping centre is also adding Ann Summers and New Look to its line-up. Ann Summers, the lingerie retailer, has opened 2,500 sq ft store alongside JD Sports, while New Look launched a 25,000 sq ft store opposite Marks & Spencer last month.

"These latest openings are great additions to Queensgate.  The upsizing of Pandora reaffirms the centre's success for the brand as a location, adding a new fascia and enabling them to offer a more comprehensive jewellery range for customers.  Together with other leading high street and premium names that have joined the scheme in recent months, Queensgate's brand portfolio continues to set the bar regionally, fuelling demand from leading brands," commented Lendlease head of retail asset management Guy Thomas.

11 new brands have joined the East Midlands shopping destination in the past 12 months including Mac Cosmetics and Hotel Chocolat.

Queensgate is also currently undergoing an £8 million refurbishment programme designed by architects Benoy to transform the mall with a more modern and contemporary look. New lighting, doors, ceilings and internal finishes will be added to the mall to enhance the customer experience.
