On July 16th, it opened its first New Jersey store at the Freehold Raceway Mall. The new store measures 50,700 sqft. and will sell Primark's womenswear, menswear, children’s wear, home goods, beauty products and gifts.

A second new store, in Pennsylvania, is located in the Willow Grove Park Mall in the Philadelphia suburb of Willow Grove, PA, and opened on July 19. It's in a 58,300 sqft. space that previously hosted a Sears store, and will sell the same assortment of products as the NJ store.

"Retailers like Primark, delivering fashion and value that is limited to the brick-and-mortar format, are in high demand in today's retail environment, meeting the evolving needs of consumers.  New anchors, along with a unique roster of retailers, diverse dining, entertainment and experiential offerings are the keys to success in today's mall setting," said Joseph F. Coradino, CEO of real estate investment trust PREIT.

Primark has also announced plans to launch in six further US locations: Willow Grove Mall (Willow Grove, Pa.), Burlington Mall (Burlington, Mass.), Staten Island Mall (Staten Island, N.Y.), South Shore Plaza (Braintree, Mass.) and American Dream (East Rutherford, N.J.), Kings Plaza (Brooklyn, N.Y.).
