Philanthropic retailer Olivela launches e-commerce website

Published
Jun 7, 2017

Olivela, a philanthropic retail destination founded by social entrepreneur Stacey Boyd, launched on Tuesday e-commerce platform olivela.com.

Olivela.com, the philanthropic e-commerce website - Olivela

Olivela is Boyd’s latest venture, following past projects such as Academy of Pacific Rim, Project Achieve, and Schoola, an online retailer that sells gently worn clothing to support schools in need. The former teacher and school principal launched Olivela to provide funding to improve the lives of children around the world. The retailer transforms inventory into measurable impact and fund children’s causes.

Olivela.com launches with women’s shoes, bags and sunglasses from luxury brands such as Valentino, Givenchy, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, Aquazzura, Tod’s, Marc Jacobs and Edie Parker, and additional brands and product categories will be added to the website monthly.

In addition, the website features a personalized customer dashboard called “The Olivela Effect” that tracks the impact of total purchases in supporting charitable organizations.

"We are thrilled to introduce Olivela to the world today," said Boyd. "We wanted to create a retail concept that seamlessly connects luxury brands with causes they care about deeply.  We are proud to offer consumers a new option for purchasing gorgeous luxury products, while also knowing they are helping children and families in need."

The website launches with four partners, Good+ Foundation, Malala Fund, VH1 Save The Music Foundation and Too Young To Wed, all of which seek to improve the lives of children around the world. Proceeds from all products sold from June 6 to June 19 will support Good+ Foundation.

Olivela.com will ship to all 48 continental states, and for every person who signs up to receive Olivela's email, a day of school will be donated in countries where most girls are denied an education through the Malala Fund.
