Paul Smith has set up shop in Paris' Marais district. The British brand has opened a boutique at 24 rue Pastourelle, between Rue des Archives and Rue du Temple.

The store has opened in a former art gallery and features an unusual concept store/art gallery range, well suited to the year-end festivities. The store extends lengthwise and features Paul Smith clothing and accessories, as well as several art works on its walls, and showcases a selection of stationery products, trimmings and gadgets.

"Customised Lewis Leathers biker jackets and vintage rock concert posters from Paul Smith's personal collection will liven up the range," the brand explained in a press release. "The store's interiors, in pink and bright orange, take a leaf out of Paul's colourful aesthetics, sharing a mood inspired by the David Tremlett staircase at London's Tate Britain."

The interiors will be revamped in January. The store is likely to host the new retail concept for the brand's second line, PS by Paul Smith.

Paul Smith's other Paris stores are located in Boulevard Raspail and Rue de Grenelle, on the Left Bank, as well as on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The brand is distributed in 66 countries and through 1,700 retailers worldwide.
