Speaking during his current trip to the UK to lead yoga sessions in the country, Ramdev told the Press Trust of India: “There is great enthusiasm and growing demand for Patanjali products in these markets. We will soon take the decision in accordance with particular laws of these countries, which are different from Indian laws.” Ramdev also stated that he had been offered several proposals to set up production units in the UK and Europe.

The Press Trust of India also reported that Ramdev led yoga sessions at the Olympia complex in London, UK, and in Birmingham and Glasgow. The sessions were part of the fourth International Day of Yoga on June 21, promoted by Incredible India.

Whilst in India, Ramdev has also been awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the National Indian Students & Alumni Union UK (NISAU-UK), called a “great role model” by the union. The award was for Ramdev’s contribution to the world through Yoga and Indian Traditional Sciences, the basis of his brand.

Around 140 Patanjali products are already available in the UK through the Patanjali Yog Peeth UK Trust, Ramdev’s UK enterprise.
