Nordstrom opens Korean fashion pop-up

Published

K-beauty’s North American invasion was just the beginning: Nordstrom has just announced that it will open a Korean fashion pop-up shop both in-store and online.

Nordstrom launched a K-Fashion pop-up both in-stores and online on March 31st - Nordstrom

The Korean beauty pop-up, part of Nordstrom’s on-going “Pop-In” pop-up series, will take over several Nordstrom locations across the Americas, including Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Dallas, and Los Angeles. For customers not in the area, items will also be available online.

For the pop-up, Nordstrom has selected eight designers to feature: Kye, Hyein Seo, J Koo, SJYP, Yune Ho, Kuho, Suecomma Bonnie, and Neul. While the majority of the brands have some level of presence in the United States, the Nordstrom pop-up will mark the first time Kuho and Neul land stateside.

Prices for the products will start at around $45 and top out at $695. The pop-up shop will be open until May 7th.

This isn’t the first time Nordstrom has looked to Korea for a fresh partnership – the department store launched a pop-up shop with sunglasses brand Gentle Monster in January, and a K-beauty shop-in-shop in February.

The Pop-In series is an ongoing project by Nordstrom’s VP of Creative Projects Olivia Kim. Each month, Kim launches a new pop-up in select stores: with themes ranging from ranging from France to K-beauty to New Year’s resolutions.Several of the pop-up experience have been collaboration focused; in the past Nordstrom has launched collaborative pop-ups with Nike, Aesop, Opening Ceremony, and Topshop.
