The Design Museum in London, which houses fashion exhibitions as well as design ones - like "Women Fashion Power" and "Hello, My Name is Paul Smith" - is moving from its location at Shad Thames to Kensington in November this year.

Now, it has opened its first retail space at its new site on Kensington High Street, a boutique high street shop that offers a curated edit of the best in design. It's located at 224-238 Kensington High Street, moments away from where the new Design Museum will be located, and was designed by John Pawson, who also designed the new museum.

As well as an "ever-changing" array of design-focused objects from all around the world, the Design Museum Shop will also sell its own-branded range from November, when the museum opens. This will include design collaborations and exclusive products and accessories.

The Director of the Design Museum, Deyan Sudjic, said: "The Design Museum Shop reflects the values of the museum itself. It's our ambassador on the high street, always changing, always full of fascinating things, displayed with style, and staffed by people who live and breathe design."

Designers whose work has been showcased at the Design Museum include Paul Smith, Zaha Hadid, Jonathan Ive, Miuccia Prada, Frank Gehry, Eileen Gray and Dieter Rams.
