Luxury e-tailer MyTheresa.com has announced changes to its commercial leadership team with the appointment of Richard Johnson as its new chief commercial officer and the promotion of Tiffany Hsu to buying director.

Richard Johnson will become MyTheresa's new chief commercial director - MyTheresa.com

Johnson, who has been working as commercial director at MyTheresa rival Matchesfashion since December 2015, will join the company in November. He will take full responsibility for all buying and merchandising activities, and oversee MyTheresa’s buying, retail & merchandising and merchandise planning teams.

His previous experience includes senior roles at Dubai-based luxury group Al Tayer, high-end department store chain Harvey Nichols and menswear brand Moss Bros.

He will be joined by Tiffany Hsu, who is being promoted from buying manager of RTW to fashion buying director at MyTheresa.com. In her new role she will be responsible for all categories in the buying team and build relationships with brands with the aim of developing capsule collections and exclusive collaborations. She will report directly to Johnson.

President Michael Kliger said:  “I am very pleased about Richard Johnson joining the Mytheresa.com team. I believe his great expertise in luxury and digital retail will advance our business further and solidify Mytheresa.com as one of the leading global online luxury retailers.

“With Richard and Tiffany we will further strengthen our unique positioning of a highly curated product offering combined with the most amazing array of exclusive collaborations with brands.”

MyTheresa.com sells luxury pieces from over 200 international designer brands including Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Prada and Valentino across clothing, footwear and accessories. The business was acquired in 2014 by US retailer Neiman Marcus Group.
