Massimo Dutti updates its presence in Sweden. The Inditex clothing brand has opened a newly-refurbished store at Sturegallerian shopping mall in Stockholm.

The shop has reopened with a new look, and stocks the brand’s menswear and womenswear collections. Massimo Dutti was the first Inditex brand to launch in Sweden, where the group has had a presence since 1994. Massimo Dutti was followed by Zara in 2003.

The store update is part of Inditex’s expansion strategy and follows the group’s entry into Belarus this year. The company also opened a flagship in Moscow earlier this year.

Massimo Dutti has also opened a new store in Barcelona at Glòries shopping centre, and relocated a store in Valencia to a more central location.

Massimo Dutti was created as a menswear brand in 1985, and joined Inditex in 1991. It launched women’s fashion four years later and ventured into childrenswear in 2003.

In 2016, Massimo Dutti had sales of 1.63 billion euros, representing a 9% increase year-on-year and becoming the group’s third largest brand in terms of revenue. Massimo Dutti has currently 765 stores in more than 70 markets worldwide.
