French actress Marion Cotillard, who won an Oscar for her role in "La Vie en Rose," is once again featuring in a campaign for French fashion house Christian Dior's iconic Lady Dior bag, this time for the spring-summer 2016 season.

Following the fall-winter 2015 campaign by photographry duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, it's now German photographer Peter Lindbergh's turn to capture the timeless beauty of the Dior muse.

The legendary Lady Dior handbag was named after Lady Diana, who made it popular in the second half of the nineties.

In the new advertizing campaign, shot by Peter Lindbergh, the French actress models on the banks of the River Seine in Paris, a short distance from the Louvre museum.

Two Lady Dior bags are at the fore of the campaign: a black leather model oversewn with a "cannage" design, which has a broad strap decorated with crystals, and a metallic "micro-cannage" model inspired by the chair seats owned by Napoleon III.

As an ambassador for Dior since 2008, Marion Cotillard has featured in around ten advertising campaigns for the brand's bags, including her role as the face of the Lady Dior bag for several years. Peter Lindbergh has worked on four of these campaigns. The actress has also worked with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Tim Walker, Craig McDean, Steven Klein, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Mikael Jansson and Annie Leibovitz.

Marion Cotillard can next be seen on the big screen when she stars in Xavier Dolan's "It's Only the End of the World," set for release in the fall.
