After revealing a streetwear-inspired collaboration with American designer Shayne Oliver, Longchamp has once again looked to the States to find its new brand face.

The French luxury leathergoods brand has tapped the highly sought-after Kendall Jenner to front its latest autumn/winter 2017/2018 collection campaign, following in the footsteps of previous ambassadors Freja Breha and Alexa Chung.

With campaigns for brands Calvin Klein, La Perla and Adidas Originals already under her belt, the 21-year-old model with more than 90 million followers, is the latest brand face for the luxury house, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, and is looking to appeal to a younger audience.

"Kendall is an independent and free woman, she travels, she moves at full speed, she's always elegant, much like the Longchamp woman. Her talent resides not only in the way she acts, but in her interactions too. She is an authentic personality of the Millennial generation," explained Sophie Delafontaine, creative director at Longchamp.

Founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, Longchamp is present in 80 counties across 1,500 points-of-sale. Only days ago, the house, which boasts 300 stores, opened a new flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York.
