Pure said it has a "progressive plan for newness", which the menswear section and its display of eyecatching artwork by Rudolf Humm is an example of. Sara Maggioni, of trendforecaster WGSN, presented menswear trends for AW16/17, including tailoring and sportswear, oversized silhouettes and multi-layering, as well as a strong military inspired presence.

Tony McCarrick, Sales Agent for Claudio Lugli commented; “We are really happy with the mix of buyers who we have seen. We have opened several new accounts and seen our existing customers too. We are going to leave today feeling very happy that we attended."

In the evening of the first day, Julie Driscoll, Portfolio Director for Pure London and Steven K Hall, former Visual Merchandiser for River Island, presented the Display Awards. The winners were chosen for their "high standard, unique and fresh stand displays."

Best Emerging Brand stand went to Ioanna Kourbela. Pour Moi won the award for Best Womenswear stand and House of Disaster were awarded Best Footwear and Accessories stand. The Best Menswear stand went to Shackleton, and the award for Best Whole Show stand went to King Louie.
