Laura Bailey joins Zanzan as Director and creative partner

Laura Bailey, the British model, has been named a Director and creative partner of Zanzan, a UK brand that she has long been a fan of.

Zanzan is an independent UK eyewear companies that creates sunglasses, which are handmade in Italy. The company was founded in 2012 by creative team Megan Trimble and Gareth Townshend, whose aim was to merge eyewear and fashion. Zanzan is stocked in Matchesfashion, Moda Operandi and Modern Society, among others.

Bailey has joined the company after being a customer of it first. She says: "My relationship with Zanzan started as a fan and a customer. I'm obsessed with shades and Zanzan's independent spirit and design integrity stood (far) out from the crowd. (Plus they are everyone's favourite insider insta-follow). Everyone asked me who made my shades. I started buying them for my friends. And wearing them every day. Ever-decreasing circles. Until we started to talk, and then, to partner creatively. A new challenge for me, but one that feels completely natural and authentic. The chance to collaborate, whilst learning about a business I love is a real privilege. And I believe there's a real demand for independent fashion eyewear, and new conversations."

Bailey has previous experience as a designer - last year she teamed up with L.K. Bennett for the Laura Bailey x L.K. Bennett collection, a capsule summer shoe line.
