LDO stars festive season on a high as Black Friday delivers strong trading

London Designer Outlet enjoyed strong sales during Black Friday weekend, with total revenue increasing 26.6% and footfall growing 6.2% year-on-year.


The number of people visiting London Designer Outlet during Black Friday weekend increased by 6.2% this year.


This helped the company post its 16th consecutive quarter of growth, cementing its position as the UK’s fastest growing outlet centre.

Located in Wembley, LDO offers brands such as The North Face, Molton Brown, H&M, Gap, Guess and Kurt Geiger with prices up to 85% off RRP.

The shopping destination said sales growth was boosted by mixed fashion and athleisure, as well as strong demand from non-EU tourists. Duty-free sales by overseas visitors increased 44.4% year-on-year during the quarter, following a 40% increase last year.

LDO is particularly popular among Chinese tourists, who spend the day at the shopping centre to purchase items at reduced prices enjoy the many cultural celebrations.

Sue Shepherd, Realm’s Centre Manager for LDO, said: “Once more, our reputation for low prices, high quality, guest service excellence, cultural awareness and great events has encouraged visitors to come to LDO in even greater numbers. We are proud that we have delivered another strong Black Friday weekend performance, welcoming more people than ever before and achieving the highest Black Friday sales in LDO’s four-year history.”

The outlet centre is also home to Vans, Superdry, Lee Wrangler, Jack Wills and M&S.
