Following the appointment of Marco Bizzarri as head of Gucci, until now at the helm of the entire division, François-Henri Pinault decided to directly oversee Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Saint Laurent himself. To assist him, Grita Loebsack will be responsible for the development of Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Brioni, Christopher Kane, Stella McCartney and Tomas Maier, whose various general managers will report directly to her.  As a reminder, the Luxury - Watches & Jewellery division is directed by Albert Bensoussan.

In the new position, Grita Loebsack becomes the eleventh member of the French luxury, sport & lifestyle group's executive committee.

Of German nationality, Grita began her career as a consultant with Oliver Wyman. She joined L'Oréal in 1996, where she was responsible for increasingly senior marketing roles, before being appointed International Marketing Director of L'Oréal Paris skincare products in 2003. Between 2004 and 2010 she managed the L'Oréal Paris subsidiary, and then that of the entire L'Oréal group, in Great Britain and Ireland.  In 2010 she was appointed General Manager for the Vichy brand, before joining Unilever in 2012 as Executive Vice-President in charge of the Skincare category.  She is a graduate of the London School of Economics and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

Grita Loebsack has been a member of the Supervisory Board for Virbac (an independent French pharmaceutical laboratory specialised in animal health) since December 2013.
