A pop-up store has opened in St Martin’s Courtyard, Covent Garden in support of the capital’s Pride celebrations. It stocks just one t-shirt design, created by British fashion designer Katharine Hamnett, who is best known for her political t-shirts, exclusively for Help Refugees.

Featuring a rainbow coloured ‘Choose Love’ logo, the t-shirt will help raise funds for LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum seekers as part of a wider campaign to support the LGBT+ community taking across London this month.

The pop-up store will also host a range of events in the week leading up to the Pride Parade in London on 7 July, including multi-coloured makeovers from beauty brand Smashbox.

Simon Taylor, property director of The Mercers’ Company, commented on behalf of Longmartin Properties Ltd, a joint venture between Shaftesbury and The Mercers’ Company: “We are proud to be supporting the Help Refugees charity as it is in conjunction with such a major event in London. The launch of the Choose Love x Pride in London pop-up store was a great success and we are thrilled to bring the fun and colour of Pride to St. Martin’s Courtyard and Mercer Walk for everyone to experience.”

The Choose Love x Pride will run from June 29t until July 7 at 9 Mercer Street.
